Infrastructure for Independent AI Assessment

You can't audit what you can't see. You can't be independent using the vendor's tools.

CleanAim® provides provider-independent infrastructure for assessing high-risk AI systems under Article 31(5).

You cannot be independent using the vendor's tools.

Only 3 of 27 EU member states have designated Conformity Assessment Bodies for AI. The infrastructure gap is massive.

Here's the structural problem:

  • AWS monitoring tools assess AWS systems
  • Azure governance covers Azure deployments
  • GCP logging works for GCP infrastructure

When the auditor's tools come from the same vendor as the system being audited, independence is compromised—not by intent, but by architecture.

Article 31(5) Requirements

Notified bodies shall perform their activities... taking due account of the size of an undertaking... in particular in view of their independence from providers of the AI systems...

Translation: You need tools that don't come from the AI providers you're assessing.

What CABs need

Requirement Why It's Hard What's Missing
Complete Audit Trail Provider logs are incomplete (62-76% capture) Infrastructure-level capture
Deterministic Replay Can't reproduce decisions with provider tools Event-sourced architecture
Cross-Provider Consistency Different providers, different APIs, different evidence Unified assessment framework
Independence Documentation Must prove tools are provider-independent Clear architectural separation
Scalable Assessment Manual assessment doesn't scale Automated compliance checking

The Market Gap

  • Provider-specific platforms (IBM watsonx only governs IBM)
  • Documentation-only platforms (templates without technical verification)
  • Enterprise-focused platforms (built for deployers, not assessors)

No platform has been built specifically for the CAB use case. Until now.

Assessment capabilities

Provider-Independent Capture

Constitutional capture that works regardless of AI provider.

  • 99.8% capture rate (vs 62-76% for provider logging)
  • Unified data format across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, open-source
  • Infrastructure-layer capture that providers cannot bypass
  • Independence you can document and defend

Deterministic Replay

Reproduce any AI decision exactly as it occurred.

  • Complete input, model state, and output for every decision
  • Ability to replay for assessment and audit
  • Evidence that satisfies technical documentation requirements
  • Version tracking for model changes over time

Article-by-Article Assessment Framework

Structured assessment against EU AI Act requirements.

Article 9 Risk identification and mitigation documentation
Article 12 Capture rate verification, retention compliance
Article 13 Accuracy disclosure verification, limitation documentation
Article 14 Oversight effectiveness measurement, bias detection
Article 15 Feedback loop analysis, bias amplification detection

Assessment Workflow Management

End-to-end workflow for conformity assessment engagements.

  • Structured assessment process
  • Evidence collection and organization
  • Finding documentation and tracking
  • Report generation

Multi-System Assessment

Assess multiple AI systems from the same or different providers consistently.

  • Standardized assessment criteria
  • Cross-system comparison capabilities
  • Benchmark database (anonymized)
  • Efficiency gains from consistent methodology
